Joining ACFA

The association welcomes membership applications from any Christian working in financial services who is happy to sign our statement of faith and who can provide appropriate referees.

Benefits of membership

We hope that ACFA will be many things to many people, but some of the key benefits of membership (depending on the level of membership) will be:

  • Support & networking locally with other Christian money workers and at a national level.
  • A sense of belonging to a national Christian organisation which will seek to be the voice for Christian financial planning advice in the UK.
  • Introductory leads via the web-site search facility.
  • Access to the member’s page of the web-site and web-site forum for e-discussion on relevant biblical and financial issues.
  • Regular email news updates from the Executive committee.
  • A platform for promoting products and services to a wide Christian audience.
  • Prayer support.
  • Voice piece for National Press  - from Christian prospective
  • National annual conference (at extra cost) to meet other members – this has proved to be an excellent opportunity for mutual support, teaching and encouragement

Inward focus - Training/nurturing

  • We recognise the importance of understanding biblical principles in financial planning. This should be the key difference between Christian Financial Advisers, be they IFAs, Tied Agents, Solicitors, Accountants, Debt Counsellors etc and any other Financial Adviser.
  • As an organisation we want to promote these biblical principles within our membership and to help to train those in the industry to teach Churches and individual Christians.
  • We also want to provide a breeding ground for Christians who wish to come into the industry or to develop their skills.
  • Support and fellowship will continue to be available through the web-site member forum which will be accessible by all members of ACFA (full and associate).
  • The annual conference is a fantastic chance to meet other Christians working in the Financial Services sector, to be fed with biblical teaching and to encourage one another by friendship and mutual support.

Outward focus – Marketing Christian advice

  • Our members will be attractive to Christian clients if we have got our Inward focus right because our members will bring their professional qualifications as well as their eternal perspective to meetings, advice and ultimate recommendations. We therefore intend to market ACFA members to the general public, encouraging them to use our web-site member search facility.
  • The member search facility will list Full voting members of ACFA, although a separate list of associate members will be accessible on the member’s only page.
